Is it possible that the trend of millennials dying their hair gray is speaking of things to come? What could it be pointing to?
I’m an unabashed fan of the millennial generation. (Truth be told I’m a fan of all generations, especially this one…the one that presently spans from the cradle to the grave.) I think that maybe, just maybe, this generation’s gravitation toward coloring their hair gray could point to the desire for true wisdom.
Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.
Proverbs 20:28-29 A king will remain in power as long as his rule is honest, just, and fair. We admire the strength of youth and respect the gray hair of age.
There is no lack of information and knowledge out there and this generation must learn to discern what is really special vs. just more static. Wisdom has been described as knowing what to do with the knowledge or information you have. That’s only one aspect of the many faces of wisdom, but I agree with that.
There’s human wisdom which is limited by an earthly perspective and then there’s godly wisdom. With so much knowledge spewing at us daily why would we try to reason and think of an answer when we can be given the wisdom of God if only we ask?
Whether your hair is gray from age of any shade of the rainbow, you must have the wisdom of God in this hour. This new release from author Brandy Helton is a great place to start in your journey of getting wisdom. Order yours today and “get wisdom” by positioning yourself to receive.
Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will guard you; Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.
In Jesus’ name, I ask for the wisdom of God that comes from Heaven. I renounce all ungodly and demonic wisdom and make room for truth. I ask You to speak to me in dreams, visions, Your Word, godly people in my life and any other way You want. I have ears to hear what The Spirit says.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
II Corinthians 2:13-14
I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
