The Word of God

There are really no words in the human language that can adequately describe the Word of God. As I sit with my fingers on the keypad of my computer this morning, I’m in awe once again at the honor and privilege we have as believers in Jesus Christ to hear, believe, receive, speak and live out the Word of God in our everyday, seemingly ordinary lives. It is so amazing and profound that the Father has made this available to us. Unfortunately, we sometimes take this priceless treasure for granted.

The written Word of God, the Bible, sits on many shelves and coffee tables unopened and collecting dust. We often times just do not realize what we’ve been given within the pages of this book. My heart in writing this is to rekindle a flame, or perhaps light a fire in your hearts for the first time about the Word of God. Maybe you’re one that has never opened your Bible. Perhaps it’s been a while since you’ve taken a few minutes to meditate on a verse or two; or maybe you are like so many that do take the time to open the pages and read by faith but just need your passion for the Word renewed. It could even be that you’re one that has never really heard much about the Bible at all and are reading about it for the first time. If that’s you, you are in for quite an adventure. Wherever you find yourself today regarding the Word of God, I want to encourage you that this is for you!
