One Sunday morning while consumed in the Lord’s presence in worship, I had a prophetic vision from the Scripture in Revelation 3:4 and saw Jesus before me with His arms extended and opened towards me. He spoke with such love and genuine affection, “Walk with me in white!” The Lord then gave me instruction to lead our corporate body into 40 days of renewal and intimacy with Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is God, the Spirit of Truth, and is to be highly honored as He empowers Christians and leads them into revelation knowledge of Jesus Christ. Walk with Me in White is a simple 40-day journey in The Word bringing those who love Jesus into a deeper communion with Holy Spirit.
This is not just a devotional, but a supernatural 40 day journey that will transform your life. Are you ready to see Spiritual Breakthrough?
The number 40 shows up often in the Bible. It can be understood symbolically as testing before breakthrough. While it is symbolic in many ways, 40 days is also literal. “Forty days” means “forty days,” but it is clear that God has specified this amount of time to represent something as well. The Bible’s use of 40 days that emphasize the theme of testing or breakthrough:
When God destroyed the earth with a flood, it rained 40 days and 40 nights (Genesis 7:12). After Moses ran from Egypt he spent 40 years in the desert tending flocks (Acts 7:30). Moses stayed upon Mount Sinai for 40 days and 40 nights (Exodus 24:18). Moses interceded for Israel for 40 days and 40 nights (Deuteronomy 9:18, 25). A maximum number of lashes a man could receive for a crime, was set at the limit at 40 (Deuteronomy 25:3). The Israelite spies took 40 days to spy out Canaan (Numbers 13:25). The Israelites wandered for 40 years (Deuteronomy 8:2-5). Prior to Samson’s deliverance and spiritual breakthrough, Israel served the Philistines for 40 years (Judges 13:1). Goliath provoked Saul’s army for 40 days before David arrived to slay him (1 Samuel 17:16). When Elijah escaped from Jezebel, he traveled 40 days and 40 nights to Mt. Horeb (1 Kings 19:8).
The number 40 also appears in the prophecies of Ezekiel (4:6; 29:11-13) and Jonah (3:4).
In the New Testament, Jesus was tempted for 40 days and 40 nights (Matthew 4:2). There were 40 days between Jesus’ resurrection and ascension (Acts 1:3).
